About the Role

This is a top-level leadership role—specifically, the County Policing Commander position. You’ll run big chunks of policing in Suffolk, working with senior staff and local partners. You’ll oversee everything in your area, shape how people work and feel, and improve the culture and standards across the force.

• Oversee and direct sizable police forces and operations.
• Change the workplace and processes to promote responsibility and ongoing improvement.
• Maintain the qualities of Suffolk Police such as professionalism, bravery,and a sense of community.
• To maintain the force’s dependability and respect in all areas, spearhead change, and offer fresh concepts

• You must be an existing or former Superintendent (looking for promotion) or a substantive Chief Superintendent seeking a transfer.

• Your leadership is admirable; you prioritize maintaining public safety, enhancing services, and fostering public confidence in law enforcement.

• You’re a role model who drives partnerships and transformation in policing.
