You will be stepping into a crucial leadership role as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) within DWP’s Digital and Transformation Group. You will often represent the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and hand-in-hand with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
In this capacity, you will:
Control partnerships with HM Treasury (HMT) and the Government Digital Service (GDS).
Create the operating model and future vision for DWP Digital.
Control labor strategy, financing, risk management, performance, and planning.
Cultivate talent all throughout the company using digital competence building and personnel development support.
Lead the general Digital and Transformation viewpoint to make sure projects are properly planned, controlled, and affordable.
Manage business planning for both short-term and long-term needs and create a workforce plan for more than 4,000 people.
Establish performance indicators (OKRs and KPIs) that correspond to the overall goals of the department.
Guide governance, control, and risk management across Digital.
Work with committees, help coworkers, and quickly get rid of any barriers.
Keep relationships with auditors under check and make adjustments as needed.
Manage a budget of over £1 billion and a staff of 7,000 plus.
Manage budgets, maximize supplier value, and obtain financing by working with the commercial and finance divisions.
Give the CDIO senior-level counsel on delivery, strategy, and policy.
Collaborate with People and Capability teams to develop a varied, competent workforce.
Create effective recruiting, training, internships, and career advancement plans.
Lead professional development and establish long-term ability channels.
Drive a communication plan that enables personnel to grasp the vision and strategy of the company.
Create a good, encouraging environment where people can perform their finest work.
