You will first undergo basic training to develop your weapons skills, teamwork, and fitness. Harrogate is where you will start if you are under 17½ years old. After that, you move to Catterick for more difficult infantry training. After that, if you complete, you can become a member of the Guards unit and you can take part in ceremonial duties and operational training.
