• Train as an infantry soldier

• Learn to use different weapons and equipment

Who Can Join

• Age: 16-35 years old and 6 months      (Note: at least 16 years old and no older than 35 years and 6 months)

• No qualifications needed

• Must pass Army fitness tests

• Must be British, Irish, or from the Commonwealth

Training

You will first undergo basic training to develop your weapons skills, teamwork, and fitness. Harrogate is where you will start if you are under 17½ years old. After that, you move to Catterick for more difficult infantry training. After that, if you complete, you can become a member of the Guards unit and you can take part in ceremonial duties and operational training.
