The Ministry of Defence Guard Service (MGS) is seeking a Security Supervisor to be instrumental in protecting Defence against crime, terrorism, espionage, and sabotage. This is a day working post needing great leadership, resilience, awareness, and effective communication abilities.
You will monitor Security Officers, handle schedules, maintain security systems, interact with Defence partners, and make sure that security regulations are followed at prominent MOD sites.
Every day, manage security personnel, staffing as needed by operating requirements.
Follow MOD security rules and National Security Inspectorate (NSI) standards.
Run and handle alarms, CCTV, and access control, among other security systems.
To handle security breaches and events, follow established procedures.
Cultivate close professional relationships with Defence stakeholders and clients.
Write reports, keep daily logs, and handle any problems brought up.
Visit nearby units to provide supervisory support where required.
Leadership traits, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Great communication abilities, customer service, and organisational skills.
Proven ability to manage people and resolve security issues effectively.
Full UK Driving Licence required.

48 hours per week, net 43 hours after breaks.
Between 06:00 and 22:00, shift options consist of either five 9.6-hour shifts or four 12-hour ones.
Flexible rostered weeks, with some shifts adjusted at short notice (min. 48 hrs).
