Job Title: Principal Engineer – Support Engineering (In-Service Design Change)
Location: Filton, UK
Contract Kind: permanent, full-time
From £47,271+ per year, depending on abilities and experience.
This position enables you to develop submarine engineering that directly supports the national security of the United Kingdom. You will concentrate on inservice design change as a Principal Engineer, guaranteeing safety, reliability, and efficiency for sophisticated submarines.
What You’ll Do

• Prepare, review, and deliver technical documentation for design changes and trials.

• Assess and approve safety and environmental documentation.

• Support training delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Track incident data and provide reports to improve performance.

• Represent BAE Systems in stakeholder and customer meetings.

What You’ll Need

• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering.

• HNC or higher qualification with strong project management experience.

• CAD skills (SolidWorks) are a plus.
