About the Role

As a Royal Marines Commando Officer, you lead an elite amphibious force deployed in tough environments — from deserts to the Arctic. Operating from ships and aircraft, you may take part in humanitarian, peacekeeping, or combat missions worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Lead elite teams in high-stakes operations at home and abroad.

• Operate advanced weapons from ships, air, and land in varied environments.

• Make quick, mission-critical decisions and command respect through action.

Who Can Apply

• 18 to 25 years old (applications accepted from 15 to 9 months, entrance by 18)
• A minimum of two A-Levels (72 UCAS points) and five GCSEs (including maths and English) Mi.litary Fitness & Boot Camp
• Resilient and adaptable, prepared to operate in harsh, uncertain conditions.

Training & Progression

• Complete 15 months of training, including time at CTCRM and Britannia Royal Naval College.

• Gain a Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership from CMI.

• Start as a Troop Commander (leading ~30 commandos) and progress to Captain after around 26 months
